professional interests are quiet varied -- the big picture, borrowing from the Synchronous
Manufacturing/TOC framework is to
improve the vitality of
Alaska's economy by focusing on the following outcomes:
1. (Throughput) - Increasing
Alaska's
economic base through value added activities (manufacturing)
2.
(Inventory) - Putting Alaskans to work in the best paying and most responsible
positions by ensuring a system of life long
educational opportunities.
3.
(Operational Expenses) - Transferring the best practice tools from manufacturing
to Alaska and other business sectors in order to enhance Alaskan global
competitiveness
Current Projects:
- Growing AK Manufacturing - Envision Product Design and
associated Alaskan vendors/suppliers.
- Supporting development of workforce development
programs through APICC and UAA.
- Teaching Operations and Quality Management at APU
- Maintaining the website for Christ Our Savior
Lutheran Church
- Maintaining the website for Frontier
Sales
Future Projects:
- Building a model of the CR&NW Rail Road from McCarthy, AK to Cordova, AK.
- Hiking across Zion National Park in 2008 and floating the Colorado down
the Grand Canyon in 2009
- Manufacturing Alaskan outerwear that is the equivalent of Hawaii's Aloha shirts.
- Designing and manufacturing a shoe traction device that does not have to
be taken off when inside and carried around like a dirty diaper.
