My professional interests are quiet varied -- the big picture, borrowing from the Synchronous Manufacturing/TOC framework is to improve the vitality of Alaska's economy by focusing on the following outcomes:

 1. (Throughput) - Increasing Alaska's economic base through value added activities (manufacturing)

2. (Inventory) - Putting Alaskans to work in the best paying and most responsible positions by ensuring a system of life long educational opportunities.

3. (Operational Expenses) - Transferring the best practice tools from manufacturing to Alaska and other business sectors in order to enhance Alaskan global competitiveness

Current Projects:

  • Growing AK Manufacturing - Envision Product Design and associated Alaskan vendors/suppliers.
  • Supporting development of workforce development programs through APICC and UAA.
  • Teaching Operations and Quality Management at APU
  • Maintaining the website for Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church
  • Maintaining the website for Frontier Sales

Future Projects:

  • Building a model of the CR&NW Rail Road from McCarthy, AK to Cordova, AK.
  • Hiking across Zion National Park in 2008 and floating the Colorado down the Grand Canyon in 2009
  • Manufacturing Alaskan outerwear that is the equivalent of Hawaii's Aloha shirts.
  • Designing and manufacturing a shoe traction device that does not have to be taken off when inside and carried around like a dirty diaper.
